Joe Henry Stacy, age 78, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 9, 2016. He was born on September 17, 1937 in Oklahoma City to Ray Aubrey Stacy and Maggie Lou Childers. He attended Central High School in downtown OKC from 1952 to graduation in 1956. He served with the US Army in the 149th Transportation Detachment from 1960 to 1966. He received accolades for participating in the largest tactical helicopter airlifts in Europe and often recalled his time in Germany fondly. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Stacy, his father Ray, his brother Charles and step-daughter Kimberly Reisman. Joe lived in OKC where he worked 25+ years for Western Electric as an Installer/Electrician; ultimately retiring in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna Stacy, two children, Amy Wallace, married to David Wallace of Bethany, and Joe C. Stacy of OKC, one step-daughter Lisa Burns and husband Tim of OKC, step grandsons Jeremy Gaddy, Tyler and Zachary Reisman, all of OKC, granddaughter Hannah Stacy of Tahlequah, OK and his sister Ida M. Kifer of Kingston, OK.
