Kevin Michael Bartel

Kevin Michael Bartel, age 72, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Kevin was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 19,1951 to Kenneth Lloyd Bartel and Helen Grace (Smith) Phillips. Kevin was a man who devoted his life to others, especially his family. He was kind, considerate ,and had a giving heart. He took great joy in life knowing he could benefit the needs of others. If you ever needed anything from him all you had to do was ask. Kevin spent numerous hours over his lifetime donating blood and plasma to save others. He was also very outgoing and known for being an ornery prankster. Kevin’s smile, laugh, sense of humor, and his devotion to his family and friends made him stand apart from the rest. He was greatly loved, and both he and his big hugs will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kendra Bartel. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karla Bartel; grandchildren, Zackary Bartel and wife Britany, Alyssa Bartel, and Jackson Bartel; his loving partner, Diana Szeto and her children, Jared Ning and wife Stephanie and their daughter Eliza Ning, Felice Szeto-Wong and husband Kendrick and their daughter Cecelia Wong; as well as a host of friends.
