

Kristine Kelso-Alexander has gone to be with the Lord on February 11, 2026. Kristine was born on November 30, 1951, to Dr. Gerald Franklin Kelso and Florence Riley Kelso in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her father was a Baptist Missionary and she celebrated her 2nd birthday in Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii. She lived in Hawaii for 10 years and always considered it her home.
From Hawaii, they moved to Arkansas so her parents could attend the Missionary Baptist Seminary. Kristine graduated from Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1969, and her father graduated from the seminary with his doctorate in Bible Languages. They moved to Corvallis, Oregon where she worked in the Student Union of Oregon State University. Four years later, they relocated to Shawnee, Oklahoma. Kristine worked at City Hall from 1973-1975. She moved to Oklahoma City and started working in a State agency, Department of Economic & Community Affairs. The agency was later called the Department of Commerce and she retired in 2010, with 35 years of service. She went back on a part time basis and worked until June of 2014.
Kristine met her husband, Jack Alexander, in 1977 and they married in 1978. They were blessed to celebrate 47 years of marriage before Jack passed away in 2025.
Kristine was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Karen and Kathleen, and brother Kent, and nephew, Kevin Strannigan. She is survived by nieces: Kimberly (Kelso) Hood & Mark of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Kara (Kelso) Jones & Donald of Lexington, South Carolina; Christy Lynn (Strannigan) Hoosier & Paul of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and nephew Matthew Eames of Oklahoma City.
