Lilith Joan Schoonover Clady passed away at home February 2, 2014. For several years, her husband, Jack Clady, lovingly cared for her through the “long goodbye” that is Alzheimer’s. Born July 17, 1932, in Sedalia, Missouri, to Frederick and Mildred Schoonover, Lilith graduated from El Reno High School, where she met Jack when she was 14 and he was 16. They were married on January 19, 1952, and spent the next 62 years debating everything from the weather to politics. She is survived by her husband, Jack Clady; three children, Kristi Romine and husband John; Steve Clady and wife Kim; David Clady and wife JoAnn; and three grandchildren, Brent Romine; Scott Clady and wife Elizabeth; and Kendal Romine. Lilith loved her family, reading, crossword puzzles, and her pets. The luckiest dogs and cats found their forever homes when they wandered into Lilith’s life. Her family is especially grateful to Excell Hospice for their compassionate care. Services will be held on Fri., Feb. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Bill Merritt Funeral Home, 6201 N.W. 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK.
