Michael Allen Barker

Michael Allen Barker, age 64, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Oklahoma City. Mike was born May 26, 1957 in Redlands, CA to James and Wanda Mae (Moore) Barker. In the early 60’s, the family moved to Del City. Mike graduated from Del City High School in 1975. He met the love of his life, Rhonda, and they married in 1978. Together they raised their sons, Chad and Tyler. Mike was a truck driver for a lot of his adult life. When Rhonda decided she was going back to school, he took on an extra job to help support her dream of nursing school. Eventually he would begin working as a maintenance mechanic for Maytag. Mike was born with the amazing ability to take anything apart and put it back together again, a master of all things mechanical. He instilled in his children his love for Rock and Roll music, pride and respect for your possessions, and his work ethic. Mike was also an avid collector of antiques and history buff that loved the Dallas Cowboys, OSU Cowboys, and Nascar racing. Most of all, he loved his sons and his grandchildren and was always their biggest cheerleader. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rhonda (2014). He is survived by his sons, Chad Barker and Tyler Barker; grandchildren, Emma Barker and Michael Barker; siblings, Ray Barker, Sherri Kanaly, and Terri Hinze; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
