Michael Clinton Strain

He was born December 16, 1974, in Oklahoma City, the son of W.R. “Bob” Strain II and Charlotte Sanders Strain. He was the middle of three siblings.

Michael attended various schools in Oklahoma City, graduating from Putnam City North high school in 1993. A life long scholar, he graduated from Oklahoma University in 2000, and received a MBA with honors from Oklahoma City University in 2003. He was a member of Mensa.

Survivors include his son Carter Michael Strain, Broken Bow; dad, W.R. “Bob” Strain II and wife Kaye, Oklahoma City; brother, W.R. “Robby” Strain III and wife Dani, Flower Mound, Texas; sister, Valerie Strain and fiancé Wade Ratliff, Dibble; and special friends, Brad and Charlette Hearne, Broken Bow.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Sanders, Bethany; grandparents, Oklahoma State Rep., E.C. “Sandy” Sanders and Ruth Sanders, Oklahoma City. He is also survived by an uncle, 2 aunts, many cousins, and treasured friends. He loved his animals, especially Boy Bear and Jazzy.

Memorial service will be held at Spring Creek Assembly of God, 15th and Bryant, Edmond, Oklahoma, on Sat., February 22, at 2:00 p.m.Arrangements under the direction of Bill Merritt Funeral Service, Bethany, OK.
