Robert C. Fischer was born January 1, 1935 to Edwin and Virginia Fischer in Verona, MO. Bob was 80 when he passed away on January 21, 2015 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He graduated from Verona High School in 1952. He served in the Army from 1954-1956. He worked for Western Union for 37 years retiring in 1993. Bob married Mary Ann McConnell April 26, 1958 in Verona, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Darrell, sister and 2 brothers. Survivors include wife, Mary Ann, son Duane (Linda), grandchildren Jennifer Powell (Jasin), Andrew, and great granddaughter Dani Powell, brother Bill (Teen), sister Judy Schmidtke, sister-in-law Nancy Jo, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather and “Bop” to Dani. Vigil Service will be Sunday Jan. 25 at 6:00pm, Funeral Mass on Monday Jan. 26 at 11:00am, both at St. Patrick Catholic Church NW 19th and Portland, OKC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick Building Fund.
