

Simone Andrea Plaudis passed away in her home on March 8, 2024, at the age of 62, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Vicenza, Italy on September 9, 1961, to Maria and Eugene Jolly. She spent much of her childhood in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1979 and attended Brigham Young University. During a break in school, she returned home and met her husband, Chuck, at church. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 29, 1984. During their marriage, their family lived in Phoenix, Arizona; Jacksonville, Arkansas; Weilerbach, Germany; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and surrounding areas. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Simone was dedicated to her faith, willing to serve in any calling extended to her. She looked for opportunities to serve everyone around her. She loved to read and write, instilling in her children a love for books and learning. She also loved to sew as it was an opportunity to be creative and to further serve others. She and her husband always considered their family to be their lives’ work. She took great joy in her children and grandchildren. She loved being Omi to her grandchildren.
Simone is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Mayhew and Eugene Jolly. She is survived by her husband, John “Chuck” Plaudis, her siblings, Mike Jolly and Anya Masar and her stepfather Buddy Mayhew. She is also survived by her children, Jared Plaudis (Morgan), Emily Chambers (Corbin), and Zachary Plaudis (Lacey), as well as her grandchildren, Jackson and Porter Chambers and Owen and Jane Plaudis.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 12020 N Mustang, Yukon, OK 73099 on Thursday March 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
