

Steven Duane Roberson, 55, was called Home to be with Jesus on Thursday evening April 28, 2022. Steven is the youngest son of Wanda Roberson and the late W.G. (Pete) Roberson. Steven (known as Stevie by his family) was born on July 19,1966 in Oklahoma City and anxiously looked forward to every birthday.
Steven was a special needs young man and attended Faith 7 school and workshop as well as participating in St. Gregory's developmental Program in Shawnee. He also worked at Reliant Living Centers in Oklahoma City.
He loved bowling and learned to swim when he was a young child. He was an excellent swimmer and earned many medals in the Special Olympics. But most of all he loved spending time with family. He was a very happy person and loved telling jokes and singing and dancing while listening to music on his Walkman. We were all blessed to be a part of his life.
He attended Temple Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church while living in Shawnee. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bethany and enjoyed attending events at the Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled.
Steven is survived by his mother Wanda Y. (Stephens) Roberson, brother Jerry L. Roberson and wife Bonnie of Shawnee, sisters Roberta Hightower and husband Glenn Hightower of Guthrie, Lois Rinderer and husband Willie Rinderer of Shawnee, sister Joyce Elaine Roberson of Mesquite, Texas, Mandy Roberson of Oklahoma City and Wally Roberson of Florida. Steven loved all the children and grandchildren of his brothers and sisters and was loved by them and called them his own.
He was also survived by his house mates Greg Delce and Timothy Thomas. His caregiving family Frank Ford, Shanell Baccus, Tracy, Michael, and Crystol along with the staffing of Independent Opportunities, Inc. to whom we are very thankful for his care. He is preceded in death by house mate Gary Knight.
He was also preceded in death by his dad Walter Gene (Pete) Roberson and a sister Sandra Gayle Roberson.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday May 4th, 2022 at 11.00 am at Bethany Cemetery at N.W. 63rd and Rockwell in Bethany, OK.
