Tristan Kaare Shaw came into this world November 12, 2001 in Edmond, OK to Kaare & Teleigh Shaw. He grew up in Oklahoma City and Bethany with his two sisters Skyla and Gabby Shaw; pets, Barry, Nala, Stella and Lola Shaw. Tristan was currently living in OKC with Anna Jamieson, Austin Shaw, Aaron Shaw, Emma Ary and working at Fiberseal of OK.
Tristan graduated from Bethany High School in 2020 where he participated in basketball, track, and we even saw him get on stage and almost sing! He attended ECU in Ada. From day one TK was calm and cool in all situations. With his sisters he was their leader, their bubba. The girls looked up to him and were so proud of all his accomplishments… and there were many. For over a decade we have sat in gyms and on fields watching Tristan run, jump, and play with all the balls: soccer, basketball, football, track/field. Tkgamer was my only boy, but the amount of brothers he had could fill up both of my hands. His cousins were his first best friends as it should be in our best lives, THE QUAD SQUAD!! And then skittles found his other best friends, or they found him to be exact TTG! T-dawg was everyone’s friend. As his friend, you could count on him to be loyal, genuine, and funny AF! Tristan has always brought smiles and trash talking to the table. He was my sweet boy for the early years and I know by the amount of girls that were real friends with him, he was just as sweet to the world. He recently began to experience real grown up love with someone very special. He was so very happy. We watched him transform before our eyes. He was being the best person he could for that love, and it was beautiful to watch. There was no one more proud of Tristan than me, his sisters and his father, except maybe his grandma and grandpa.
Despite the small time we had with Tristan, we were able to experience so much with him and he shared so much with the world. He was an athlete always, he spent so much time at the gym going to games, practices, SO many teams over the years and so many great coaches, teammates and friends he shared his dedication and hard work with. He was a gamer from the Start when Playstations & XBox only had a first name. He was a fisherman and hunter with his grandpa and me. We did a lot of “city” fishing with the cousins and friends. He loved four-wheeling with his cousins, especially at Uncle Bobs and the Enchanted Forest cabin. T-dawg was the snowboarder while us girls skied. He loved taking friends on ski trips, so many memories were made in the car rides between trips, games, and going to school every day since pre-k… til he got the white Rango.
He was preceded in death by Randy Shaw, his Papa; and Leola Finch, his Memaw.
He is leaving behind his mother, Teleigh Shaw; his father, Kaare Shaw; sisters, Skyla Shaw and Gabby Shaw; nephew, Everett; grandparents, Bruce & Janice Jones, Jane Shaw; and great grandmother, Noakola Bowen; great grandmother, Lavene Jones; aunts and uncles: Jay Bowen, Kammi Hudson, Mitchell Bowen, Charlie & Tammie Reichert, Craig & Lori Shaw, Mike & Stephanie Shipley, and Tracy Shaw; cousins upon cousins throughout Oklahoma; as well as a host of friends.
Visitation will be 3pm-8pm Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
