

Lucille was a cherished wife of the late Peter A. Perniciaro. Devoted and beloved mother to Peter (Linda), Richard, Michael (Diana), James, and John (Donna). She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and an adored great-grandmother to 8 in addition to one on the way, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
She was the dear sister of Lena Olynk and the late Stephen, Frankie, Dolly, Camela, Leo, and Barney.
Lucille was known for her easy-going nature and deep devotion to family. She cherished time spent together, especially her beloved Christmas Eve dinners, where she faithfully carried on the Italian tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes, a tradition her family will forever miss and remember with love. She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles, finding joy in life’s quiet moments.
A lifelong lover of basketball, Lucille was a true pioneer in the sport. She helped start the St. Martin of Tours CYO Basketball program and went on to play, coach, and referee basketball at the high school level. Even later in life, she continued to enjoy watching the game she loved so much.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 234 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church, Bethpage, New York. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York.
Lucille’s long life was filled with love, faith, family, and passion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
