

Kirkwood: Barbara L. Moran, 91, passed away at home with her family by her side on December 27, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Luella Browne Howard and Lt. Col. Raymond W. Browne; her husband, William J. Moran; the father of her children, Howard T. Robinson; grandson, T.J. Sims; and her brother, Steven Browne. She is survived by her children, Christine Robinson, Roberta Pietrosanti (Lee Houck), Thomas Robinson (Sandra), David Robinson (Kim), Nancy Gee (Rick), Linda Sims, and Judy Robinson; her stepchildren, Mary Basom and Mark Moran; two sisters, Connie Lee and Lucille Chamberlain; her brother, Raymond Browne (Linda); sister-in-law, Paulette Browne; two dear friends, Steve Petrilak and Patricia Marconi. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Barb was a Life Member and Past President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4141 in Delray Beach, FL where she lived for 24 years. After moving back to the Binghamton area she transferred her Life Membership to the VFW Post 478 Ladies Auxiliary Binghamton and was a Past President and Secretary. She started the monthly Auxiliary dinners again and was the main cook for many years until it became difficult for her to stand for long periods. She volunteered for many of the functions at the Post and helped in any way she could. She belonged to the VFW M.O.C.A. #32 in Syracuse, NY. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 357 in Hallstead, PA. A funeral service will be held Wed. December 31, 2015 @ 10am @ the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901. Burial will follow in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Family & friends are invited to the funeral home on Tues. December 30, 2015 from 4-7pm. Those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions in Barbara's name to the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 South Waverly Rd, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. Barb will be remembered for all of the blankets she crocheted for all of her grandchildren. She loved singing karaoke, cooking (especially birthday dinners for her family). She will be missed by her family and all the friends she has made over the years here and in Florida.
