Clifton Alan Turner "Big Al" passed away suddenly Tuesday September 20th, 2016. He is predeceased by his wife of 26 years Melinda Turner. Al is survived by his daughter Staci (and Anthony) Birtch, Johnson City, N.Y., his two sons Robert (Shanine) Newfield, N.Y., Jeffrey Turner, N.Y., his step son Dale Warner Binghamton N.Y., along with many grandchildren. He has also left behind his brother William (and Pat) Turner of Florida, sister Gail (and Jim) from Arizona, and many special friends. He was a member of the Elks Club in Illinois. Als joys joys in life were the love for the outdoors, birdwatching, hunting, fishing, and car rides through the country side. Al was best known for his sense of humor, willingness to help others, football especially the N.Y. Giants, sudoku puzzles, but most of all just being "poppy".
Funeral services will be held on Monday September 26, 2016 from 3-5 pm at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street Port Dickinson, N.Y. 13901. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association.
