Irene C. Cole

Born January 5, 1935 on Hiawatha Island, Owego, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elenor Comstock Dodd.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was well known for her genuine love and concern for other people and her extraordinary hospitality. Irene also had a strong sense of spirituality that led her to being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a long-time member at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Deposit, NY.

Survivors include her daughter Karen Shaw of Alexandria, VA; sons George Cole (Linda) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Jeb Cole (Tonia) of Windsor, NY and Roger Cole (Holly) of Windsor, NY. Irene is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert K. Cole.

A service to celebrate Irene’s life will take place on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 4 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2484 Old Route 17, Windsor, NY 13865. Additionally, a reception will immediately follow the celebration of life at the West Windsor Volunteer Fire Department Hall, 9 Karla Drive, Windsor, NY 13865. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
