Mary E. Whitlock

Mary Edith (Lenze) Whitlock, 92, passed away peacefully to eternal life on June 16, 2016. She was born September 8, 1923 in St. Mary's, Pa. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Amelia Lenze; siblings, Othmar lenze, Mark Lenze, Roger Lenze; husband, Dr. Walter Whitlock. Mary is survived by her son, Michael Whitlock and daughter, Jacqueline Lubniewski; grandchildren; Jessica (Jim) Latta, Cassandra Whitlock, Christopher Whitlock, Kaitlyn, Jocelyn and Stephanie Lubniewsli; great grandchildren, Tucker and Kaedence Latta; brother, Hilary Lenze; sisters, Virginia Moretto, Martha and Cecelia Foster. Mary graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School and attended Indiana University of Pa. She was a former member of the WAC's Blue Angel Corps during WWII. Mary was a past president of Interwheel and the Ladies Society of Nimmonsburg, member of the Chenango Bridge Senior Citizens, RSVP Volunteer for Meals on Wheels, former Girl Scout Leader and a volunteer at the Chenango Bridge Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was an avid reader and enjoyed many types of puzzles. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren. A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 am Tuesday until the time of mass.
