Nancy J. Stone

Binghamton: Nancy Jo Stone, 72, went to be with her Lord on June 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with MS. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Della Holbert; and her husband of 52 years, Bud Stone. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie Bohlen of Binghamton, Julie and Michael Andrus of Greene, and Peggy and Howard Hyde of Binghamton; seven grandchildren, Ben Andrus, Dusty Andrus of Greene, Nicholas and Corey Bibbins of Navarre, FL, Ethan Bibbins of Binghamton, Melissa and Corey Weaver of Great Falls, MT, Ashley Knox, Emalee Hyde of Binghamton; two great-grandsons, Deagan and Levi Weaver; her sister Patricia Green; many sisters and brothers-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews. Nancy worked at Chenango Valley High School for 20 years and at Kent Drug Store and Brooks Pharmacy in the Chenango Plaza for 15 years. Her love for other people, family, and church was outstanding. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor for the excellent care shown to Nancy, especially Laurie Christian who was Nancy's "adopted daughter". Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson with Michael Andrus officiating. Burial will follow at Shehawken Cemetery in Preston Township, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
