

Conklin: Robert D. Woolsey, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2011 after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles D. and Irene O. Woolsey; his infant son and daughter; and his brother, Charles B. Woolsey. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Virginia; his brothers, Donald and Sue Woolsey; Tom and Phila Woolsey; his brothers in law, James and Debbie Lesniak; William and Rita Lesniak; and Richard and Barb Lesniak; his sister in law, Jean Lesniak; many nieces and nephews; his cousin, Myrtle Santischi and her sons; special friends, Carmen and Teri Caminiti and their family; and his faithful companion and guardian, Hojo. Robert graduated from Binghamton North High School and began his career at Giammarino Construction before starting his own business, Robert D. Woolsey Excavating, providing scrap metal to the local recycling industry and in later years, he bought and sold used construction equipment. Robert was a man who was talented with his hands, and enjoyed working on heavy equipment, hunting, his family and friends, and helping the neighborhood kids with their creative endeavors in his garage. Robert's family wishes to extend a thank you to all of the neighbors and friends who were supportive during his illness, their kindness was very meaningful to him. At Robert's request, there will be no calling hours and funeral services will be kept private. He will be laid to rest at Brookdale Cemetery in Liberty Township, PA. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice .
