PATTERSON, BERT E. JR. Born October 11, 1935, Passed away August 28, 2010 He was preceded in death by his parents Bert Elmore Patterson, Sr. and Daisy Ophelia Culpepper Patterson; and his sisters, Margaret Patterson Bailey and Francis Daisy Barry. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Patterson Person (Joel); his son, Bert Elmore Patterson, III (Terry); and his daughter, Jennifer Shay McGavock (Mark); his brother William C. Patterson: seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was raised in Pinson, Alabama and graduated from Woodlawn High School. He was a participant in Builders for Christ for four years, a volunteer for Jimmie Hale Mission, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Trussville. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, and Shriner of Zamora Temple. Services will be held at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, visitation begins at 11:00, services at noon. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a local AA chapter. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's-Brown-Service Roebuck Chapel, Birmingham, AL.
