St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, on the Southside. She passed way December 21,
2012 just before midnight. Preceded in death by her daughter Nella B. Oppenborn
Jones, she leaves one sister, Mrs. George S. Hiller, one daughter, Marilyn P.
Oppenborn Steber of San Diego, three granddaughters, one grandson, one great
grandson.
Wealthy only in friends, nevertheless, she gave to several museums and archives:
Pan Am museum in Coral Gables, Florida; Alabama Archive in Birmingham;
Birmingham Southern College; the San Diego Chinese Museum; The Supreme Council
Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Washington, DC. Member of St. Andrew’s Church;
DUVCW 1861-1865 by descent from Will B. Potter, Wisconsin Light Artillery and
89th Illinois Vols.
