Edith Lande Feinberg passed away at the age of 92 on November 15, 2023. Devoted for 68 years to her beloved husband, Irwin Feinberg, and her three daughters, she was a beacon of love and comfort to all those around her.
Edith embraced life with a "young" spirit. Her life was full of passion, notably in her love for jewelry. She played a pivotal role in helping her husband establish a successful chain of catalog showrooms in Birmingham, Alabama, spanning two decades. Prior to this, she attended Ramsay High School and the University of Alabama.
Edith found joy in staying informed, frequently expressing her interest in news programs, and delving into the intricacies of current events and stories from the past. She was passionate about sharing her knowledge. Edith worked diligently to spread the word about the amazing life of Sam Zemurray, who was responsible for bringing our family over from the Ukraine. More recently she reached out to the Bremen Museum to donate family materials that was entered into the Museum.
She leaves behind a legacy cherished by her daughters Andrea Feinberg, Lauren Cohen (Larry), and Deena Ruben (Paul), and grandchildren Stosh Cohen, Sadie Ruben, and Mollie Feinberg, and a multitude of cousins and friends who will forever hold dear the memory of this remarkable woman.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
