JuJu went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 20, leaving behind a devastated and huge group of family and friends. Born in Mobile, she and her family moved to Birmingham in 1957, where she lived until her death. After graduating from Shades Valley High School, she attended the University of Alabama and delighted in being a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She met her husband of 53 years, Mac Beale, in 1968 and they were married the same year. She is survived by her husband Walter McFarland Beale, Jr. (Mac), her daughter Miller Beale Girvin (Josh), brothers James Hugh Miller, III (Kathy) and Robert Boyd Miller (Ginger), sister Ashley Miller Crosier (Rick), granddaughters Juliet Hamilton Girvin and Margaret Bibb Girvin, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. JuJu loved everyone and everything, developing a wide swath of friendships across the country and a plethora of animals that depended on her. She had a servant’s heart, dedicating time to work with the Junior League of Birmingham, the Cathedral Church of the Advent, and The Linly Heflin Unit, where she served as President. She made her debut in Mobile and was a member of the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America, the New Era Study Club, and the Order of St. John. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cathedral Church of the Advent or your favorite charity. A service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, followed by a Celebration of Life at The Club atop Red Mountain.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.johnsridouts.com for the Beale family.
