Sarah G. Dean

DEAN, SARAH ARTA GREER A born-again Christian of Trussville, formerly of Birmingham and Hanceville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 25, 2010. Loving wife, caring mother, great friend, she was preceded in death by her husband Avis Dean; mother Evie Jackson Greer; father Joseph Dennis Greer; brothers Holice, Hoy, Jack, and Carl; and sisters Zella, Hazel, and Gladys. She is survived by her son, Michael Dean of Trussville; sister, Mattie Chapman of Pembroke Pines, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dean worked as a nurse with Dr. George T. Rowe for a number of years. A generous caregiver, her door was always open to those in need. She was a longtime member of East Lake United Methodist church and of the Randolph class, the "Sewing Club" and several civic organizations. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 from 5-7 pm at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel. Funeral service will be Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 at 2pm. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Hanceville, AL. Rev. Sally Allocca officiating.
