Bernardo D. Melone

Visitation will be at the Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield on Friday, May 8th from 5-9 pm. Kindly be at the funeral home on Saturday, May 9th at 8:30am following a mass of Cristian burial at 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Orange. The entombment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations will be appreciated in Bernardo’s memory to VFW Post 493, 271 Washington Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110.

He was born in Orange and has lived in Bloomfield for most of his life. He was a member of the VFW Post 493. in Nutley and a past District 4 Commander. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force as a Senior Airman.

Bernardo is survived by his loving sisters, Maria Melone and Angela Rushitaj and her husband, James; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ida (Manganiello) and Saverio Melone.
