Andy was the beloved son of Margarita Ramirez Gomez and Eliazar “Eli” Gomez. From his dad he inherited a strong work ethic, quiet strength, and a “keep pushing” attitude that never let him quit. From his mom, he learned tenderness, humility, and how to love with his whole heart. Together, they helped shape the man so many of us were blessed to know.
Andy leaves behind the love of his life and best friend, his wife Veronica Gomez, who stood by him through every season of life. Their bond was strong, real, and filled with laughter, teamwork, and a love that could be felt by anyone who saw them together. His greatest joy was being a father to his daughters Alina Gomez and Leah Gomez, who were truly his world. Andy also proudly stepped into a father role for his niece Kelsey Gomez, whom he loved, raised, and protected as his own daughter. His girls were his world. Every long shift, every mile on the road, every sacrifice, he did it with them in mind. He wanted them to have more, to feel safe, and to always know how deeply they were loved by their dad.
Andy is also survived by his siblings Nancy Gomez, Elizabeth Gutierrez, Eliazar JR. Gomez, Samuel Gomez; Aunt Chole, and cousin who was like his sister, Angie Valdez, each of whom shared an unbreakable bond with him, and lifetime loving memories.
Andy was the fun uncle and friend, the one who showed up ready to crack jokes, play around, and make everyone in the room feel special.
From a very young age, Andy knew what hard work was. He started working at just 13 years old, never shying away from responsibility. Over the years, that hustle grew into a dream he made real: His own trucking business. Andy was completely self-taught, he learned the industry, learned the trucks, learned the grind, and built something he could be proud of. He wasn’t just working a job; he was living his passion. Every day on the road, every
delivery, every late night and early morning it meant something to him. He took pride in doing things right and providing for his family.
Outside of work, Andy lived passionately and fully. He enjoyed working riding motorcycles, fixing his car, spending time with family, trying new places to eat. Andy had a playful mind and big heart for the things he loved. Andy was a true alien enthusiast- he loved talking about space, the unknown, and what might be out there beyond what we see. Alongside that, he was also a history buff, always interested in how the world came to be the way it is. He loved learning, listening, and sharing random facts or stories that made you see things differently.
Music followed Andy everywhere. He listened to all kinds of music, never stuck on just one style. Whether he was driving, grilling, or just hanging out, there was always a song playing in the background that matched his mood.
Some of the best memories with Andy were on his days off at the grill. He loved to BBQ- carne Asada on, music up, kids running around, and his laugh carrying through the yard. He was a natural jokester, always clowning with his nephews, siblings, and anyone nearby. If Andy was there, you knew there would be jokes, smiles, and stories that made the time feel easy and full.
Above everything else, what people remember most about Andy is his heart. He was kind. He was giving. He never turned away from someone who needed help. Whether it was a ride, favor, a plate of food, or just a listening ear, Andy offered what he had without hesitation.
His smile and laugh were always the first to greet a room- loud, warm, and full of life. He had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and safe. There are countless people who can say Andy helped them, encouraged them, or made their day better just by being himself.
Andy was truly “too good for this world,” but we were lucky to have him for the time we did. His love, his effort, his sacrifices, and his joy live on in his wife, his daughters, his family, and everyone whose life he touched.
Though we will miss him every single day, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit rides on in every story we share, every song we hear that reminds us of him, every star in the sky that makes us smile and think, “Yeah, Andy would’ve had something to say about that.”
Rest in peace, Andy C. Gomez.
A loving husband, devoted father, son, brother, tio, and friend. Your road on this earth may have ended, but your journey in our hearts never will.
The man who gave his love freely, worked with pride, laughed loudly, and loved with his whole heart. We carry you with us always.
