

Arlene was born in Amorita, Oklahoma on April 20th 1934 and moved to San Bernardino at 6 years old with her parents, brother and sister. Her youngest sister was born in 1951.
Arlene graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1952.
She was married to Charles Sabo Jr. in 1952. They had three children. They raised all their children in Rialto. They were divorced in 1974 after 22 years of marriage.
Arlene married Milton Weaver in 1975. They were married for 10 years until their divorce in 1985.
Arlene worked in the Aerospace Industry as an Executive Secretary for 30 years until she was disabled and had to go on disability.
Arlene met Don Bartee, her companion in Nov. 2001, where they traveled all over the world and was with her until he passed in 2018. Don was also the Red Hat Escort for events that took place at night.
Arlene was a member of the Grand Terrace Woman’s Club for 20 years; Queen Mother of the Red Hat Society Chapter in Grand Terrace; member of the Elks Emblem Club of San Bernardino; member of the Lions Club; member of the Riverside Single Swingers and Square Dance Club and became president in 1987 through 1989; a member of the Grand Terrace Seniors where she was the Sunshine Lady; member of the Eagles and Mason’s Club.
Arlene had a passion for playing games with her friends including dominoes, Mexican train, cards and playing bingo. Arlene was very lucky and she won often. Arlene would win raffles as well giving some back if she couldn’t use it. Arlene enjoyed traveling with her friends and spending time with her family. Arlene went to church every Sunday and everyone would remark on how well she dressed that day. She always had perfect makeup and a flower in her hair. Friends said that she was warm, kind, nice,fun, and always smiling. Arlene loved being the Red Hat Queen Mother of her chapter and set up many events for teas and luncheons for the other Red Hat women in her chapter.
Arlene was the oldest of four children; her brother, Darrell Ford, pre-deceased her in July; sister Marnice Ziegler lives in Costa Mesa, and her youngest sister, Kristine Baldwin lives in Rialto.
Arlene is survived by her sister, Marnice Ziegler of Costa Mesa; and her sister, Kristine Baldwin. Arlene was a patient at Rialto Post Acute Center and was also cared for by Kristine and her husband Peter and their children, nieces and nephews.
Arlene is survived by her niece Heather Howard and her children: Mason, Rylee and Caden Howard; nephew Patrick and Erin Baldwin and their children: Joel, Carter, Mikayla and Jeremy; and nephew Christopher and Maria Baldwin and their children: Ethan, Alyssa, Julius and Esmeralda.
Arlene’s surviving adult children are: Dennis Sabo; Darnice Sabo; and Paula Jean Harrison.
Arlene attended Grand View Baptist Church in Grand Terrace, California.
