It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of Azucena Perez Bracamontes, born May 13th, 1991, in Pomona, California, to her parents Hector and Celia Perez. She passed on March 31st, Easter Sunday, in Stockton, California, following a tragic car accident. She is survived by her husband, Mario Bracamontes, and son, Echo Bracamontes; her parents, Hector and Celia Perez; brothers: Jose, Giovanni, Xico, Philip, and Hector Jr. Perez; as well as many nephews, cousins, and extended family. She is joined in death by her precious daughter, Viera Rose Bracamontes.
Azucena was a beautiful human, inside and out, who loved life, her family, and her friends. She made an impact on all those around her and across the globe. She loved music and traveling, attending hundreds of concerts and visiting more than half a dozen countries. Well-known for her love of food and baking, she found joy in the little moments of life and creating memories with those she loved, most of which are filled with her contagious laugh. She was intelligent and a dedicated lifelong learner who provided for her family by working as an X-ray and CT technician.
Her favorite era by far, however, was marriage and motherhood. She made her home in Fort Bragg - a beautiful seaside town - with her adoring husband, Mario, who she loved dearly, after they wed in December of 2020. There they welcomed their son, Echo, in 2022, and daughter, Viera, in 2024. She loved being a mom and loved her babies so incredibly much.
To say she will be missed feels woefully insufficient. Her unexpected and tragic passing has left a deep, aching pain, and a void that will never be filled. There is peace, knowing she is with her daughter in heaven, and the hope that we will meet again someday.
Azucena and Viera's Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10:30 am at Green Acres, located at 11715 Cedar Ave, Bloomington, CA 92316. The service will be followed by a reception at the Villa Amalfi Clubhouse from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, location 10 Clubhouse Dr, Norco, CA 92860. If you would like to send flowers, please send them to Green Acres.
