

Bernadene Zimmerman passed away on November 4, 2011, Bernadene was born in Nevada, Missouri on October 4, 1937. She moved to Bloomington, Ca in 1948 where she met her future husband, long time citrus farmer Roger Zimmerman they were married on May 10, 1955. They lived in Bloomington until 1990 when they moved to their beautiful home in Mentone, Ca. Together they enjoyed many years of travel throughout the United States and abroad. Bernadene is survived by her very devoted husband Roger Zimmerman of Mentone, Ca, her son Clay Zimmerman of Evanston, Wyoming, her son Barney Zimmerman of Grand Terrace, Ca and daughter Wendy Young of Hemet, Ca. She is also survived by her sisters Rose Miller, Jean Weisner, her brother Joe Miller, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bernadene was a renowned artist and belonged to the Fontana Art Association for many years. An active member of the PTA, she was also involved in the San Bernardino County Museum from its inception. It has been said that the good that people do lives on in the hearts of those they touched. For everyone who is lucky enough to own one of Bernadene's remarkable paintings, this will be especially true, as they will be reminded on a daily basis of her gentle, kind and loving nature.
