

Bertha was born to Antonio and Margarita Cardenas in Grandview, Texas on October 13, 1928. Bertha married the love of her life Juan Moreno Santos of Jalisco, Mexico on May 15, 1950 in McAllen, Texas. Later settling in Fontana, CA where they lived and raised 10 children.
Mrs. Santos was preceded in death by her loving husband Juan Moreno Santos, three sons, Juan Jr, Angel Gabriel, Esteban, two daughters, Juanita Gomez (Emilio), Oralia Orosco (James). She is survived by sons Javier, Johnny (Regina), daughters Margarita Hansen (Michael-Deceased), Bertha Alicia, Marisela Mayoral (Richard), 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous extended brothers & sisters. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Bertha enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and was an excellent seamstress and had a passion for cooking which inspired her to open Santos Family Restaurant in 1984. She sold her restaurant in 1991 to retire and spend time with her grandchildren.
Bertha was well known for her Mexican celebration of Christmas called Las Posadas/Noche De Nacimiento, which family members & friends would come, recite the Rosary, and after enjoy her tamale dinners, which filled her home with such love.
She will be remembered for her example in life guided by her faith and love of God; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
