Manang (Auntie) Linda was hard worker. She met life’s challenges with a singular tenacity. While her path was not one of soft words, it was one of incredible grit. In doing so, she forged a deep resilience within her family, teaching them how to stand firm and weather any storm.
Her greatest pride, and the clearest evidence of her life’s work, is the family she built. She raised a large family to be smart, beautiful, and successful, ensuring they had the discipline to excel. That legacy of strength now extends to her grandchildren, who carry forward the endurance and the drive she instilled in every generation she touched. We honor the formidable spirit it took to anchor this family. May she find peace!

Although I didn’t get a chance to stay connected with Auntie Linda through the years, every time I visited her, I somehow always managed to make her laugh from her core and she always remembered me as the nephew who made her laugh to tears. May she be full of happiness and laughter now as she rests in peace.

My most vivid memories of Lola was when she was babysitting us. Whether it's sitting with Lolo watching a boxing show while Lola prepared for us a yummy meal or hearing Lola's favorite Filipino dramas and entertainment shows while we helped clean. I also remember sitting by her fish tank with my siblings and our cousins to watch the Arowana fish she used to have. It ate another fish super fast one time which caused us to react and Lola got mad because we were being loud, haha. 

Thank you for always taking care of us, Lola. I didn't realize it at the time, but you showed your love in your own way. You always asked if we had eaten, how we were doing with school, and sent us home with goodies at the end of the day. I wish I could have seen and talked to you more and gotten to know your story from you directly. I love you, Lola and I'll miss you. May you be in eternal rest with our Lord and reunited with Lolo and Tito.

I remember Lola most from when I lived with her as a teenager. She would always cook vegetables and make sure to share them with me. That was her simple way of showing care.

Lola wasn’t the showy or physically affectionate type, but she showed her love in the ways she knew best which was through helping and giving. She was always generous, even financially, especially to my dad and in many ways, I was lucky to benefit from that too hehe

Lola, may you rest in eternal peace, reunited with Lolo and Papa. You are loved and will always be remembered.

Till this day, the most memorable moment I had with Lola was when she cooked me a pot of adobong liver- and made sure I finished the whole thing. According to Lola, it was to help with my anemia (I’m not anemic) since I had a lot of bruises at the time (I was just a clumsy gal).  This alone just shows how her maternal instincts kicks in naturally. Though she has the tendency of showing tough love, she has her own way of showing affection and care towards others. I will definitely miss hearing her endless stories about her life and her children, her blunt nature, and most of all,- her chocolate oatmeal :) Rest in peace Lola. Forever date na po kayo ni Lolo.

I’m sorry to see you go :(
I remembered when I still in elementary school back in Fontana, she would take me to the bus stop near the house, and would chat for minutes (even greet her neighbors) until the school bus arrives to pick me up. She was also known for making chocolate oatmeal every morning (and sometimes in the afternoon). And now looking back at those small memories cherished to this day, I will definitely miss them.

Rest in peace Lola, and thank you for everything

My loving thoughts for mommy were mostly during my high school days when we were in Bayombong. I remember she bought me a piano and later on a used organ just so I could play music and she could boast to her visitors and neighbors that one of the children can play the piano.😄My mom is not really affectionate like most mothers but she showed us what she thinks is best for us. She appreciated and rewarded our achievements, she tried to make our house a loving home…she was not selfish when I needed money to come to California after my divorce. There are many times that she can be stern and stubborn but deep in my heart, she was the best mom. At least I got to enjoy her company one last time when she was sick and never did I realize that she will be leaving soon…I MISS YOU, MOMMY…I know wherever you are, you’re happy together with daddy and Ariel. Rest in Peace, Mommy…

     You are the pillar of the family.  Without your guidance , life for us would have been different.  We can’t thank you enough for the things that you’ve done and sacrificed for the family. You were not perfect but you brought up successful children and your legacy lingers on. Thank you for the wonderful things we had with you. Rest in peace now mommy!!

Lola, words cannot express how I feel right now. You had been a huge presence during my childhood years. As a child, I saw you as an imposing figure. You weren’t the type of lola who doled out hugs and kisses but I’ve always remembered that whenever you and Lolo came back from your trips, you always brought home Jing and I treats; the two things that stood out were the Rainbow Brite jelly cups and the Gummi Bears coloring book. One thing about you, Lola, was you loved your plants. No matter where you were, you had a healthy garden and a backyard full of fruit trees. Thank you for the memories, Lola. Rest peacefully. I love you.

We will miss Auntie Linda and her vibrant laughter. Whenever Uncle Pabling and Auntie Linda travel to Manila from Baguio or Nueva Viscaya they will always pass by our place in Pagasa and have some precious hours with us. May her soul rest in her eternal peace and to the bereaved family, heartfelt condolences from  all us … the Cabatic Family

My Dearest Mommy, 

 I want to say I love you first , you're always be my Mommy. I want to thank you for everything be my Mommy for rest of my life. I will miss some of our conversation on the phone. I'm sorry I wasn't consistent enough to spend time. I will always cherish the little memories you left me. I know you're tough on me when I was young, now that I'm older enough to understand being a parent wasn't easy. I always look up to you now I got to be a parent to my own children. I thank you for all the time and grace you have given with all the years I had with you. I love you mommy.
