Hector worked with us at the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory in San Bernardino, for a bit more than 2 years. He was an outstanding employee that worked extremely  hard and took great pride in his job. He was a wonderful human being with a warm and caring heart and a great sense of humor; always with a smile and ready to listen and to lend a hand when it was needed. I will miss ours little chats when he visited my office every morning. The world is without any doubt a poorer place without him. Farewell Hector!!! Dr Francisco Uzal

Thoughts and prayers to the entire family. 

Our Cabo trip last year. He had so much fun making sure he enjoyed all the amenities and being our guide/interpreter. I think he enjoyed swimming with the dolphins the most. He was always smiling and thinking of others. In such a short time he made such an impact of great memories with our family. Appreciate your love ones today because tomorrow is not promised to any of us. May the Lord give comfort and peace to all your family and friends RIP Hector

Hector, Martin and I have to start by saying thank you. Thank you for always treating Kamila and Kahlani like your own. Driving to donut shops at just about anytime because Bertha (Kamila) and Pizza (Kahlani) needed donuts in the morning. Convincing us to go outside to have a bonfire with the girls and playing all the Selena songs.  Going night swimming with them and being the Shark. Showing Kahlani pineapple does go on pizza and let’s not forget the endless amounts of scratchers. Thank you for being you and always making us laugh. Most of all thank you for loving us and our family but most importantly for loving our Mom. You will be missed dearly Hector. XOXO The Saenz Family 

Dad I’m really going to miss YOU, your smile all your calls and text messages just to say hi and check on us. You loved us so much and we loved you too. I worked with Hector at CAHFS and immediately saw what a great, hardworking, funny guy he was. He  came to my department every morning to say hello, or ask how your weekend was. He was always willing to help out any way he could. As I got to know him it was very obvious that he loved his mother dearly and was very proud of his kids.  I was the one who talked him into joining karate. He took his training very seriously and was very dedicated. My husband and son also trained karate with Hector and got to know him well and  share the same sentiment as I. We miss him dearly. My deepest sympathies to the Soto Family.  Heaven gained an Angel.

I don’t even know what to say or how to express myself you were a huge part of my life and I can’t image life with you💔 I’m going to miss you so much! I miss your silliness I miss me yelling at you and you telling me your not my mom Jolene!  God knew you wanted peace and now your in eternal peace 🙏🏻 

I miss you so much and I’m sad that your going to miss out Cancun trip that you were so excited about! 

I know your watching over me and you will always be by my side forever!❤️

My Tio was a loving, caring, adventurous man! He always made sure to make time to come see his “little chocolaty” my baby  whenever we invited him to a special event.  He always thought of us when he went trips, he brought us a little something and was so excited to give it to us. He also always had stories for days some I heard more then once but always listened like it was the first time. I love you Tio I have lots of memories to cherish forever ❤️ Rest in Paradise my handsome Tio. 

Hector was my dear friend. He was very supportive, kind, positive and was my exercise coach. We developed a great friendship walking everyday on our lunch hours. We talked about everything, God, past experiences, laughed at so many stories and cried about many other things. He always had a great deep love for his mother. We called her mama Soto and she would make food and send it to lab. She was his life and he would cry at the thought of anything happening to her. He loved Rocky his dog. He and I both had a sick sense of humor but laughed all the time. He was teaching me Spanish. I'll miss his very much and his encouragement to always make peace with your past and look to God for answers. He was a very very hard working man. He took his job seriously and got things handled. I am posting a picture at work of Hector getting down on the floors, which he did soooo well. He is missed already and you can't tell he isn't here. :( Love you Hector and you will be in my heart and mind forever. RIP

I was only 13 when Manuel was born, my fondest memory of him is when he was a little boy, maybe 2 -3 years old, he had long hair and it was so blond, he was adorable, I was staying with my sister Mary for the summer, she and my sister Ines lived across the street from each other and the boys, 4 of them would play together every day, I loved that Summer I have many fond memories of the 4 little ones playing and enjoying themselves, but mostly I remember Manuel and his long blond hair, that is the the picture that keeps coming to mind as memories of him come to mind these last few days, I love you Mijo you were loved and loved others with so much passion, your kindness and love will be missed by so many, Rest In Paradise  🙏🏻♥️
