

Jack was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Charley Wesley Morris and Thelma Mae Morris.
He attended Modesto High School before joining the Army.
Jack was preceded in death by Bessie Ellen Morris, his parents Charley Wesley Morris and Thelma Mae Morris, sister Ruby Newton, brother JC Morris, grandson Ryan Rampenthal, great grandson Michael Dean Bush. He is survived by 6 daughters Deborah Cozine of Atwater, Shirley Rampenthal of Yucaipa, Judy Escarzaga of Highland, Nancy Morris of Manchester, Tennessee, Linda Morris of Hemet, and Kathie Kingston of Apple Valley. He also leaves a heritage of 25 grandkids, 52 great-grandkids, and 9 great-great grandkids.
Jack loved visiting and getting visits from family and friends, especially all of the grandkids.
He used to tell stories of growing up in the depression times and how he had to help his family in the fields picking peaches, cotton, apples and other crops. Told stories of hunting with his dad and brother when they were young.
He moved around a lot as a child and his family ended up putting roots in Modesto, CA where he met and married Bessie and started family they had 4 daughters. Moved to Fresno had another daughter . Moved to San Bernardino had another daughter.
Jack worked at: Britz chemical company working with insecticides while living in Fresno, Ca.
They moved to San Bernardino where he worked for and then retired from Universal Feeds after 25 years . He would sometimes take us older girls (teenagers at the time) on the truck with him one at a time. We would help him unload the bags of feed and had fun while doing it.
After retirement they packed up their camping trailer and traveled across the country meeting up with family and friends. He used to talk about Weiser, ID and how nice it was camping with sister Ruby and his brother in law George. He settled back in Modesto where he enjoyed spending time with his Mother and Sister Ruby.
He ended up going to work at Modesto Milling for 10 years.
Eventually they moved back to Southern California to Yucaipa going to work for La Mesa RV for few more years. Retired for the last time.
Jack and Bessie spent a lot of time camping with family and friends enjoying catfish fries, BBQing ribs and boating up until a few years ago, he was always trying to teach his girls about how to set up trailers, fishing and how to rig the fishing poles.
He was very proud to have served in the Army during the Korean War and his family was very proud of him too. But is wasn’t until the last several years of his life he started sharing many stories and pictures he had from Korea.
