

Jesse Washington Loring Sr., beloved father, grandfather, and devoted man of faith, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the home of his son. Born on October 16, 1933, in Buckeye, Arizona, he was the son of Hobart and Cornelious (Camel) Loring.
Jesse spent his early years in California and attended Tulare Union High School. Driven by a strong sense of duty, he left school before graduation to enlist in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He proudly served four years as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. During his training at Fort Bragg, “He met Jamesena Graham,” who would become his first wife. They married in 1953 and welcomed nine children together. Jesse later married Marilyn Harris.
A committed Seventh-day Adventist, Jesse served as a deacon in the late 1960s at the Juniper Avenue SDA Church in Fontana. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life, shaping his character, his service, and his love for community.
Jesse was a man of many talents and passions. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, repairing cars and bikes, working on his home, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. His hands were rarely still, and he took pride in fixing, building, and creating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and ten siblings, including James Loring, Lessie Harrell, Essie Anderson, Hiawatha Midcliff, Curtis Loring, Arthur Loring, Paul Loring, and Joe Loring.
Jesse leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his ten children: Tim Loring, Jesse Loring Jr., Wayne Loring, Mary Jean Poole, Velton Loring, Gerome Loring, Clinton Loring, Ronald Loring, Michael Loring, and Lamont Loring. He is also survived by eight siblings—Rosetta Griggs, Daisie Torrence, Susie Loring, Winston Loring, Ruth Evans, Rufus Loring, Hobart Loring Jr., and C.L. Loring—along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jesse’s life was defined by service, resilience, and deep devotion to his family and faith. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the generations that follow. He will forever live on in our hearts forever.
A visitation will be held at Fontana -Juniper Ave Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7347 Juniper Ave, Fontana, CA 92336, US, on April 22, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Green Acres Memorial Park, 11715 Cedar Ave, Bloomington, CA 92316, US, on April 22, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
