Mary A Stallworth

Was born November 22, 1935 in Loma Linda, California and passed away February 17, 2012 in Little Rock Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Inona Bartee and Harry Toppin Sr. Mary attended school in Riverside and graduated from Poly High School in 1953. She joined the Air Force in 1955 where she spent 2 ½ years in military service. She met and married Thomas Stallworth June 1, 1957 while stationed at Randolph AFB in Texas. She was an airman 1st class in the 3510 10th WAF squadron.

Mary returned to Riverside and attended Riverside City College in the nursing program. She became a LVN. When her family relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas she attended University of Arkansas Little Rock. Her love for nursing and helping people led her to work as a home health aide for hospice. She became certificated in the Provider Program with the Arkansas Office of Aging and Medicaid Program. Mary retired from the Baptist Medical System Home link-Home health.

Mary became a Christian at an early age and was baptized at the Second Baptist Church in Riverside.

Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years Thomas Stallworth, sons Christopher Stallworth of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeffery Stallworth of Escondido, CA, daughters Lesley Stallworth of Houston, TX and Lisa Devi-Dasi in Los Angeles,CA; two grandchildren Ephrem Jones and Maryanne Stallworth; a brother Mike Bartee and sisters; Jill Bartee-Battle, Wilda Graham, Marie Johnson and a host of relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her brother Harry Toppin Jr.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Olivewood Memorial Cemetery, in Riverside, California at 10:30 am.
