Olufunmilola Temilola Lawal

‘Funlola started her elementary education at Ladylak Primary School, Yaba, Lagos in the ‘60s. After that, she was admitted to African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta Set of 1973-1978 for her secondary education. Following her interest in teaching career, she attended St. Louis Teachers Training College, Ibara, Abeokuta from 1979-1981. In 1984, she proceeded to St. Andrews College of Education, Oyo where she obtained a National Certificate of Education (NCE) in 1987. After graduation, she worked at Kiddies Kingdom Private School for sixteen years as Headmistress (Administration). Thereafter, she resigned to nurture her private business: Frangeorgia Nursery & Primary School, Akoka, Lagos.

Hearty Temilola Apinke got married to Anthony Lawal in 1987 and was blessed with loving children and grandchildren by the Grace of God.

Until her passing unto glory, Sister Funlola Lawal was committed to her family and also to God. A born again Christian, she was a Zonal Leader at Deeper Life Bible Church, Bride of Christ District, Ijegun, Ikotun Group, Lagos, Nigeria. She was also active in Children Ministry of the Church and evangelism.

It is almost hard to believe that she’s gone. The many happy memories of her bring tears whenever they flash like lights. Cheerful Olufunmilola, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunty was epitome of goodness. No one can always be an angel, but ever smiling Funlola lived a life of kindness, tolerance, good neighborliness and worked smartly.

We thank God for her impactful life. Continue to rest in the bosom of our Almighty God.
