

Nayo age 86 passed away at Kaiser Hospital in Fresno, Ca, on February 1, 2024. Nayo was born in, Los Cardos, Nochistlan, Zacatecas, Mexico, on June 5th,1937. To the late Gabino Flores and Maria Jimenez. Nayo was the youngest of a large family which consisted of 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Nayo grew up in Mexico until her teens where she attended school. Soon after she and Grama Maria moved to San Bernardino CA.
She married at age 26 in Loma Linda California. During her marriage she had a child. Unfortunately, shortly after she found herself going through a divorce. She later returned with her child to reside with her mother in San Bernardino. Her mother passed away in 1973. She and her son remained in the home along with her brother Silverio Valdepena. She also had a brother Ralph Valdepena who lived in the home next door with his family. She was always surrounded by family and friends.
Nayo was always finically motivated to get ahead in life. In the early 1980’s she took a risk and began her business which was named “Ida’s Produce”. The business was successful, but she was always motivated for better financial opportunities.
In the summer of 1982, she moved to Fresno California where she began working at the Vendo Co. She resided with her sister Lupe Amarillas until the fall of 1984 when she purchased her new home located in Fresno California. She remained with the Vendo Co. until she retired in 2003 after 21 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She raised her grandson Robert Garcia Jr. She enjoyed traveling to Southern California to visit with her brothers, nieces, and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, going for a drive in the country, traveling. But most of all just spending time with family.
She is survived by her son Robert Garcia of Madera, CA.
Grandchildren Johnathan Garcia of Highland CA, Robert Garcia Jr. of Fresno, CA. and Christina and her husband Mario Ramirez of Victorville, CA.
Great Grand Children Belinda, Joseph and Savanna of Highland CA, Gabriella, Gianna, and Mario Jr of Victorville and a Great Great grandchild Jasiah Nava of Highland CA.
She is also survived by her eldest remaining brother Enrique Flores of Fontana CA. And many many nieces and nephews throughout California.
Tia Nayo will be greatly missed.
