

Anthony (Toney) T. Miller, 68, of Normal, IL passed away on August 5, 2021. He was born to Jerome and Louise (Taylor) Miller. He leaves behind his mother, Louise, and the love of his life and wife, Vonnie (Allen) Miller. Also surviving are his children: Ylanda (Kyle) Durst of Eureka, Illinois; Kiesha (Brandon Blue) Miller of Foothill Ranch, California; Anthony (Kara) Miller of Mission Viejo, California; and Andrew Miller of Normal, Illinois; grandchildren: Michael (Shelbi) Boffa; Daniel Boffa; Mushaun Alyzae Miller; Titus Miller; Jaia Miller; Braelyn Miller-Blue; and Raymie Miller-Blue.
Toney was born on December 30, 1952 in Chicago, IL as the third of fourteen siblings; Sharon (Ed) Wortham, Jerome (Paula) Miller, Curticine (Timothy) Doyle, Deborah (Bertram) Turner, Donna (Ben) Gramm, Naomi (Ronald) Campbell, Timothy (Becky) Miller, Priscilla (Dan) Mari, Mary Miller, Samuel Miller, Clarice Hawkins, Trish Sheppard, and Michael (Adrienne) Miller. He grew up in Grand Junction, MI and later moved to Peoria, IL where a young Toney met Vonnie through a divine introduction from her oldest brother. In October 1979, they entered into a loving marriage that spanned 42 years, in that same year they both committed their lives to Jesus Christ. Together they raised four remarkable children and seven beautiful grandchildren.
Toney's life was forever changed in 1984 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given 3 months to live. For the next 37 years, Toney dedicated his life to the Ministry of the Gospel and the Message of Salvation with a sense of urgency and reverence.
Toney was an ordained minister at the Church of God (Bloomington, IL) and a man of many talents. He shared these talents through his love of art, carpentry, and culinary. As a faithful servant of God, he serviced this community through mentoring, sheltering, and counseling. Toney was a successful and respected salesman at Bob Dennison Ford (Bloomington, IL).
Toney Miller was a product of God’s grace. He had a message worth remembering, a life worth considering, and a faith worth imitating.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021, from 10am-11am. A memorial service will begin at 11am at Grace Baptist Church, 1311 W Hovey Ave, Normal, IL with gravesite service immediately following at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1002 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL.
