

Beverly Maxine Johnson, 89, of Normal, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2015. Beverly was born June 16, 1925, to William and Blanche (Bronson) Dulian. She married Merle Johnson on January 20, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1990.
Surviving are two daughters, Gayle (and Mark) Brackett of Princeville, IL, and Jonni Sue (and Tom) Cudworth of Fenton, MO, and one son, Bill (and Emily) Johnson of Los Alamos, NM. Bev is also survived by eight beloved grandchildren, David Brackett of Houston, TX, Paul Brackett of Princeville, IL, Beth Brackett (and Joe Krotz) of Philo, IL, Jacob Brackett of Princeville, IL, Andrea Cudworth of Madison, WI, Andrew Cudworth of Atlanta, GA, Bill Johnson of Fort Collins, CO, and Pete Johnson of Buffalo, NY, and one great-grandson, Thaddeus Krotz of Philo. She is also survived by a sister, Eldaline Brown, and one niece, Judy and (Jerry) Waldron. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Burdette and Delores Dulian and Dorothy Black, two brothers-in-law, Bill Black and Dallas Brown, and one nephew, Phil Black. In addition to her family, Bev is survived by her dear friend of 65 years, Jarie Ford.
Bev was active as a volunteer for the Red Cross, for PTO when her kids were in school, and helping with elections. She also worked as a secretary. Bev loved to be outside and her favorite times were spent with family.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Legacy Unit of Heritage Manor of Normal for their loving care during the last nine years. You have become part of the family.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Legacy Unit of Heritage Manor of Normal or Advocate Hospice.
