Surviving are her daughter: April Dawson of Chicago, IL; granddaughters: Jazmin (Richard) Spencer, Jasmine (Jeremy) Maclin, and Artavia Chapman; three beautiful great-grandchildren: Evan Jamal Spencer, Jeremy Floyd Maclin Jr., and Nyla Denise Spencer; and siblings: Wayne, Mark, Regina, Vicky, Lin, Thelma, Kimberly, Rasheeda, and Tamara who all loved her dearly. She was preceded in passing by her: parents; son: Artist Andre Chapman; and a few more loved ones.
Brenda was a great teacher and the best mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother that she could be. She loved to listen to music and travel, enjoying that Mississippi heat. She believed in God and that He would one day call her home. Brenda was a fascinating lady to listen to. She was a fighter, always strong and tough. We need her soul, but God called her home for a reason. ‘Til next we see you again.
