Charles was born July 10, 1937 in Bloomington, IL to Jay and Elsie (Graning) Johnson. He married the love of his life, Jane Ann Gleeson on March 15, 1964.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jane; three children, Mark Johnson, Stacy (Mark) Foley and Jill Anderson; five grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Katrina Miller, Annessa Anderson, Wesley Charles Anderson and Jake Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Rylan Hardesty, Haven Anderson and Zamiah Spice; two sisters, Donna Taylor and Mary Kerfoot; and one brother Donny.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy and brother-in-law, Claude Taylor.
