He was born on February 17, 1948 in Bloomington, IL, son of Martin Joseph and Genevieve Rothermel Deutsch.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded by East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

Surviving are his companion, Candace Thedens, with whom he made his home; two brothers, Mike (Victoria) Deutsch of Wadsworth and Ed (Christina) Deutsch of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dave was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. After his return from his military service, Dave spent much time traveling with his brother, Mike, backpacking and hiking in the Southwest.
He was the owner and operator of DAKSGLASS, a business he ran from his home for many years before retiring.
Dave liked to golf with his friends and enjoyed skeet shooting and hunting. He loved to spend his free time on the water in his boat fishing.
