David P. Gooch

David P. Gooch, 91 of LeRoy, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle, Illinois. He was born on January 10, 1923 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Frank L. Gooch and Edna F. Buffum Gooch. He married Donna J. Coats on January 24, 1970 in Columbia, Missouri.

David is survived by his wife Donna of LeRoy, IL, 4 children, Bruce “Rusty” (Rosemary) Gooch of Harveyville, KS, Patricia Spach of Clovis, CA, Kyla (Kyle) Robbins of LeRoy, IL, Jennifer (Michael) Keeney of Chicago, IL and 1 Sister Barbara (George) Hendrix

David is also survived by his grandchildren, Lindsey Gooch of Colorado, Wesley Gooch of Wyoming, David (Julie) Spach of Utah, Karena Spach, Geoffrey Spach, Daniel (Irina) Spach, Kirstin (Graydon) Cross, Linnea (Jason) Hubbard, Audrey Spach, Stephen (Katey) Spach, Kevin Spach, Andrew (Nani) Spach, Matthew Spach, all of California, Brandon, Hannah and Justin Robbins of LeRoy, IL, Keira and Nolan Keeney of Chicago, IL.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joseph Gooch and Frank Gooch and his sisters Carol Nothern, Patty Baker and Rosemary Miller.

David was a World War II and Korean War Veteran serving as a 1st Lieutenant in the Air Force.

David started with State Farm Insurance in 1954 and retired as the Assistant Vice President of Claims in 1991.

A Memorial Visitation and Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and the memorial Service will commence at 2:00 PM. Military Honors will be accorded.
