Dolorous Ann Wahls Steidinger

She was born December 5, 1929 in Chenoa to Orville Wahls and Mary Edith Wahls-Wolff. She married Donald R. Steidinger on June 22, 1952 at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury.

Dolorous graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Dolorous taught for a few years then desired to be a homemaker for her family; she devoted her life to serving her family , friends and church. Dolorous was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal. She was an avid sports fan especially baseball and golf. She loved softball as a child and later was a devoted Cub fan.

Survivors include three daughters: Julie Ann Steidinger of Normal, Lisa (Don) Anderson of Bloomington, Vicki (Jim) Donelson of Aurora, IL; grandchildren: Josh (Cassie) Anderson, Joey and Brett Anderson, Stephanie, Erik, Shannon and Scott Donelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents: husband and sister: Mary Atkins.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the 1p.m. service Monday December 30, 2013 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Towanda Ave Normal Il 61761. The Rev. Randy Perry will officiate
