

Born November 19, 1933 in Eldorado, Illinois, she was the third child and daughter of Clancy Elmo and Dorothy Marie (Gourley) Latham. She married Norman L. Goldman on Friday, July 13, 1951 in Eldorado. He survives of Bloomington.
Also surviving are their children, Richard (Dawn) Goldman of Normal, Illinois and Lee Ann (Michael) Sewell of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew (Elizabeth) Goldman, of Maroa, Illinois, Kyle Goldman of Longmont, Colorado, Ross Sewell and Kristin (Jay Mac) Sanders, all of The Woodlands and 8 great grandchildren.
Preceding in death were her parents; sister, Louella Hunsinger; and brother, Clancy (Betty Jean) Latham.
JoAnn retired in 1991 from the GTE State Headquarters (later Verizon) on East Empire St. in Bloomington where she worked for 23 years.
She was a member of the Illinois Telephone Pioneers Association and Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
She loved and was very active in genealogy. She was a member of the Saline County Genealogical Society.
JoAnn enjoyed gardening and was a natural caregiver, which served her well as a proud grandmother and great grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. The Rev. JW Barnett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral and entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to the Community Cancer Center, Wesley United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
