Dorothy Peters

Dottie was born on February 18, 1944 to Mary Livingood in Los Angeles, CA. She was a joy to her adoptive parents Margaret and Arnett Meister of Manteo, IL.

Dottie was an excellent card player. She belonged to the Waukegan Bridge Club and received many trophies for her card skills. She enjoyed playing golf, reading science fiction books, watching football and old movies. Her true talent was cooking at the side of her mother. Family and friends loved to eat her dinners and special desserts. She had a great sense of humor and her one liners will be repeated for years to come.

Survivors include her husband of 38years Ken: her daughters Marlee (Bob) Riggin, December LaMontagne, June (Tom) Meehan; son: Scott (Raleigh Watts) LaMontagne, kitty children: Pookie and Petey at home; three grandsons: Robert, Ross, and Ryan Riggin; six great grandchildren; brother: Bob (Becky) Swisher

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Butch.

A celebration of Dottie’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Central Illinois Humane Society, 423 Kays Dr. Normal, IL 61761
