

She was born Elizabeth McMurray on January 1, 1923 the oldest of 9 children, “Liz” as she was known to her family was always there to help her brothers and sisters when they needed something she bought everything from toys, food and clothes to furniture.
She married Bernard Tobin in 1946 in Wisconsin. Together they started Tobins Ranch House now the Ozark House. She was passionate about cooking and will be remembered for all the wonderful recipes she has passed down to family and friends.
She later married William Kessinger on May 22nd 1964. She and Bill Both worked at ISU until they retired.
Betty loved Nascar, the Bulls and baseball. She also liked watching Game Shows, playing cards and bingo.
She lived at McLean County Nursing Home since 2010 and continued to stay involved in many of the activities provided there.
She accepted Jesus Christ into her heart May 10th 1976.
She is survived by her daughter: Ellen (Randy) Paul of Bloomington and her Daughter in Law: Mary Beth Tobin of Normal. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Her son Jim Tobin and her husband Bill Kessinger preceded her in death.
We will hold her in our hearts until the time we all meet again.
A celebration of her life will be held from 10 until the 11:30 service Monday January 12, 2015 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sunshine Acres Orphanage in Mesa, AZ or McLean County Nursing Home in Normal
