Floradean was born on August 5, 1916near Palmyra, IL, the daughter of Roy & Ruth Smith Matthews. She married James "Bud" Morrissey in Salina, Kansas on August 25, 1945.
She is preceded in death by her husband of twenty-five years; her parents; and two brothers.
Floradean is survived by her children,Linda (Frank) Perino of Mesa, Arizona, and Kathy (Michael) Rose of Conroe, Texas and James (Beverly) of Bloomington; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a graduate of Springfield Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and workedas aprivate duty nurse until her retirement.
Floradean was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Wyoming, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Camp Grove, IL. Father Vien Van Do will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Dominic Cemetery in Wyoming.
