Frank M. Claeys III

Frank was born Dec. 19, 1934, in East Moline, the son of Frank Claeys Sr. and May Jesse Girt Claeys Wriedt. He married Peggy L. Spring on June 11, 1955, in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving are their children, Frank Mike Claeys III, Bloomington; Debbie Brittin, Normal; Jack (Carole) Claeys, Bloomington; Kenneth (Pam) Claeys, Grapevine, Texas; and Kathy (Jack) Southwell, Dayton, Texas; grandchildren Adam (Samantha) Claeys, Bloomington; Alicia (Brandon) Wood, Dayton, Texas; Stacey, Brittney, Brian and Kristi Claeys, Grapevine, Texas; Chad Brittin, Glen Carbon; Jared and Stacey Southwell of Texas; Justin and Lorrie Southwell of Pennsylvania; Josh and Dusty Southwell of Texas; Tammy (Paul) Miller of Texas; Tim (Natalie) Downen, Florida; great grandchildren Xavier, Dylan, Chloe, Caden, Kylie, Alexis, Landon, Seirra, Logan, Taylor, Haley, Rylie, Ella, Brook, Kate and Brennan; a sister Marie (Jay) Hammond, London Mills, a brother, Mike (Shauna) Claeys, Galesburg; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Claeys and Donna Claeys, both of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Claeys; a son-in-law, Mark Brittin; a sister, Marion Park; and brothers, Maurice, Camiel and Eddie Claeys.

Frank was a roofer for 50 years retiring in 1997. He worked for the Roofer Union Local 69.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
