Hazel L. Hutson

Hazel L. Hutson, 83, of Bloomington passed away at 4:50p.m. on April 12, 2011 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

She was born June 4, 1927 in Hidalgo, IL the daughter of Bonnie Scott and Ruth Armer Huddleston. She married Sherman Hutson who preceded her in death in 1998. She later married Francis Leary who survives her.

Hazel is also survived by two daughters Marsha (Ron) Brownfield and Sheila (Rick) Carlson, one son; Tim (Paula) Hutson. Also surviving are ten grandchildren Matthew Brownfield, Jennifer (Brett) Whitlock, Melissa (Nathan) Schellenberg, Jessica (Scott) Dowling, Megan (Nathan) Call, Jonathan (Leah) Carlson, Michael (Heather) Carlson, Lindsay (Zach) Hutson Webb, Katelyn Hutson and Erik Hutson. Also surviving are 23 great grandchildren and two sisters Virginia Clemons and Donna Pagel.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Hazel enjoyed a long career as a secretary for ISU before retiring in 1989. She was also a Cub Scout Leader for the Bloomington area and a member of Second Christian Church in Bloomington.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30a.m. on Saturday April 16, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, Visitation will take place two hours prior to services also at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial will take place immediately following services at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
