

He was born March 25, 1934, near Forsyth, IL to Roy and Mildred (Fox) Wilson. LeRoy proudly served in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Braden, on September 2, 1956 in Maroa, at the Maroa United Methodist Church. He was a member of the church and enjoyed singing with the men’s choir.
He was a life-long farmer who enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, picking blackberries, attending his children, grandchildren and nephews sporting events. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Ann; his two sons, Timothy (Tina) Wilson of Billings, MO and Wesley (Paula) Wilson of Clinton, IL; two grandchildren, Tyler Wilson of Kansas City, MO and Victoria (Jason) Love of Bloomington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lori Wilson; a sister, Betty Rodgers and a brother, Curtis Wilson.
Services to celebrate the life of LeRoy will be 11 a.m. Saturday February 3, 2024, at Maroa United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Maroa United Methodist Church. Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.eastlawnmemorial.com.
Cremation rites will be accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL 61704.
