Loretta Bryant

She was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Fogertown, KY to Dewey and Lillie (Fields) Westerfield. She married James Norvel Bryant on Oct. 8, 1948. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Bryant of Bloomington; 4 grandchildren, Lisa (Robert) Stretch of El Paso, Scott (Shana) Bundy of Bloomington, Chris (Karen) Bryant of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Jennifer Johnson of Denver, CO; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister, LeEtta Brockway of Bloomington; and her companion, Al Thompson of Bloomington.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Ruby (Michael) Bundy; granddaughter, Amy McCubbins; and brother, Aaron Westerfield.

Loretta worked at Beich’s Candy Company and at Eureka Williams Manufacturing in Bloomington before retiring.

She loved to travel, gamble, babysit her great-grandchildren and spend time with her family. Loretta was very loving and caring for others and her door was always open.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington with Rev. Grant Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
